Treasure Nail | 3D Abalone Shell Design

Treasure Nail captures the luminous colors, reflective surfaces, and hidden treasures found along the shoreline in a dimensional, beach-inspired design. In this Freestyle Nail Art episode, Dallas salon owner, competitor, and educator Veronica Luviano layers iridescent finishes and mixed-media embellishments to create a nail reminiscent of the inside of an abalone shell.The design begins with a clean white gel polish base, providing a bright foundation that allows the reflective elements to stand out. Iridescent chrome is applied over the surface, transforming the white into a luminous backdrop that shifts with the light and creates the pearlescent quality associated with natural abalone.From there, Veronica begins building her treasure-inspired composition using real pieces of abalone shell, pearls, crystals, and bullion. Rather than simply placing the embellishments on the surface, she varies their depth and placement to create a more organic, dimensional effect.Clear gel becomes an important part of the design itself. Some of the tiny treasures are encased beneath rounded areas of gel that resemble large water droplets or small pools sitting on the nail.
